A happy Tilda - Magnolia-licious DT

A special Easter Hi to you who came to visit me here today! I hope you had a lovely Family day and enjoyed this Special Feast in any way which you like :)

Today marks the start of a new Challenge at Magnolia-licious, an easy "Anything Goes" is the theme for challenge number #7.

This time I decided to colour my Wihoo Emoji Tilda with Copics, and place her as the centre piece in this fun card. This is a stamp I had won from Craft Heaven Challenge, and I'm glad I got to play with it :)

Even though mum's health situation is a very delicate one at the moment, I felt that creating this card, bit by bit, did have a calming effect on me. Unfortunately mum is still in hospital, and things seem to be very complicated. But I know God is there - giving her peace and serenity, even though she always hated hospitals. It is not easy to see her so frail and so dependent on us when I know how difficult this thing is for her. The truth is that she always manage to teach me a lot without any words - even in these situations, her faith is showing in her strength and her acceptance of all that this constant treatment entails.

Anyway... no more babbling from my side! Back to my card...

The colouring of this cutie was very easy peasy, and to go with her cute smiley face I decided on a green and pink colour combo. I think these colours bring out the happy feeling this stamp gives, and they are perfect to use for a lot of different occasions.

Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the papers I used, as they were among other loose paper in my stash, and could not remember from what company they are.
Let me remind you that you can find this particular stamp and various Magnolia and other stamp collections, embellishments and lots of new additions in Magnolia-licious Store

For this card I also used some lovely dies from the Doo Hickey volume 10 kitLook at those cute butterfly wings, dragonflies, and also the lovely hearts which I tagged behind the main image.

Other dies I used on this card are: Go Kreate, Impression Obsession Die, Dienamics

Other embellishments I added were: cheesecloth, self-adhesive pearls, ribbon, lace, and some gesso here and there for that soft feel.

Some flowers were a must for pretty Tilda!

I hope you let me know what is your opinion about the card, but also that you pop over on the challenge blog and see for yourself the cute projects that the DT prepared for you. Please do come and join the fun, and inspire us with your talents! And do not forget that Shawn is offering one Random Winner a $20 Gift Certificate to be spent in the Store!!

Last but not least, I humbly ask you to keep supporting with prayers for mum, so that she will not be in a lot of pain during this rough time. Thank you to each one of  those who leave me private messages on Fb, send emails etc. A big hug also to the sweet people who are sending me lovely crafting RAKs as a sign of love and support - the smile you manage to bring on my face is a ray of hope! You are AMAZING people!! :) God bless each of you!!!

Tilda with Spring Bundler - Magnolia-licious DT

A special Tuesday "Hello" to my blogging friends. I hope that you are having a wonderful week. Here the weather is quite Springy, and this reminds us of the beautiful transformation that happens around us in nature, and hopefully within us as well.

While thanking all those of you who joined us for the last challenge at Magnolia-licious (there were so much lovely creations!), we invite you to join us again for a fresh Challenge which starts today, with the "Anything Goes" theme using stamps which you can find at the STORE.

This time I prepared a shaped card for the challenge, using the stamp Tilda with Spring Bundler from the HE2010 Collection. She is cute, don't you think?

If you like her, you can find a mini-version of this cutie at the Store HERE, I just love those minis as you can even use them to do a matching envelope or something of a smaller scale on the inside fo the card.

Tilda here was coloured with Distress inks on Langton hot pressed watercolour paper, and I used some Stickles on small parts of her clothes and on her boots.

DI that were used:

Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick (cheeks)
Hait: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Clothes: Pumice Stone, Black Soot, Aged Mahogant, Spun Sugar
Boots: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Grass: Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Black Soot Background: Stormy Sky

Papers are Magnolia Paper (a special thanks to the sweet person that sent such gorgeous paper my way! - you know who you are, big hugs)

Supplies used: Cream organza ribbon, vintage button, paper doily, flowers, Stickles, round sentiment stamps, punched flowers, self adhesive rhinestones

Dies used:

Go-Kreate for the base card, then Tim Holtz and  Nellie's multi frames.

For the inside I continued with the same style, and left a panel for some personal message. Sentiment and heart on the inside are from a Sugar Pea Designs set, stamped with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

Before I leave you free from this babbling, let me remind you that Magnolia-licious Store is taking pre-orders for the newest Magnolia release: IT'S SPRINGTIME COLLECTION 2017

Go and grab it, and there is also a special discounted price if you buy the whole set! If you have not yet checked these stamps out, you are really missing something :) I am already in love!

I hope to see your lovely creativity on our challenge blog. Remember that there is a special price for a random participant, you can BE THE ONE who wins a $20 Gift Certificate to the yummy Store!!

You are my all-year-round Springtime

Hello my crafting friends!!

I hope this post, right in the beginning of a fresh week, finds you all in good spirits! :)

I am here to share with you a card made during this weekend, which features a Hanglar stamped image, coloured with Distress inks.

Actually there are two Hanglar stamps here: the bench, and the girl sitting on top. The weather here in Malta is quite Spring-mode lately, and this fact inspired me to choose Spring as my theme and make use of the lovely Maja Designs scraps of paper which I had - even if I had some scraps left from this sheet, they are too precious not to use - I wish I remember who had sent me these papers some years ago... I really wish I could thank them again! They are soo beautiful.

Distress colours I used on this image:

Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hat and Top: Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood, Black Soot
Jacket and pants: Scattered Straw, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Black Soot
Shoes: Pumice Stone, Black Soot
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Bench: Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Old Paper, Frayed Burlap, Pumice Stone
Grass and Flowers: Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Fired Brick, White Gel pen

On some of the corners I used a Stempelglede stamp, which I stamped using Weathered Wood DI, and on the bench one can also notice a wooden watering-can. I saw that it coordinates with the theme, therefore: why not? :)
I distress it a bit with Walnut Stain, to give it that "oldish" used look.

Last, but not least I added some flowers, a beautiful Emily Atherton Enchanting Blossom die cut, which I embellished with blue gems and some bling using Stardust Stickles.

This is the decorated inside of the card... simple but effective :) Obviously using the last tiny bits remaining of the beautiful DP (did I mention that I looove Maja papers? lol) I pray often that our local craft shops fall in love with such brands like Maja, Pion, Magnolia etc... we do not get them here, that's why I get to treasure them a lot :) Anyway the sentiment is from a wooden backed stamp I have (it's been a while so I don't remember the brand name). The note opens up so that one can write any sentiment he/she wants.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, my friends. I really love to hear from you - thanks for those who take the time to leave comments, either here or on my Fb page (Cards by Rosette).
