In The Manger

Hi there dear friends!!

I hope you are not too tired for this special time, as special as it is, it brings with it - especially for us women I think, some more preparations and extra work to do!!

Today I have another card to share with you, I think it will be my last Christmas card for now. This super cute image is called  In the Manger, and you can find it in Mos' Store HERE.

I coloured this image using my Copics, I love how the colours came out on this card (the photo does not really give it credit), but I definitely need some improvement on that hair!! :) Grr!

I added a piece of corrugated cardboard behind the image, it really looked brilliant with this image, and I embellished with some organza ribbon and this special button!

I also added a tag from the Pion's Long Time Ago in Bethlehem set. I really put these to good use this year :)

This is a side view of the card. I hope you like it as much as I do. I really wish the colours came out better in thee photos. It is one of my favourite Christmas cards I did this year.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas day, and that in these special days one can get some extra cheer and love sent his/her way. Many Blessings! I send a Big Hug to each one of you, especially to those who supported Mo's work throughout this year xxx

Have an awesome 2018!!

Being thankful at this time of the Year!

Hello my sweet crafty friends :)

Christmas has come, and the air is full of festive joy and cheer! I hope each one is doing well and that you are comfortable with all that is going on around you. Big hugs to those of you who find this time of year difficult for a reason or other xxx

Today I'm sharing with you a Thank you card which I did for Magnolia-cious Store.

The papers which I used for this card is Blueberry Hill by Papermania, and the smaller pieces are from my scrap folder. But the main focus of the card are the Foamiran flowers which I created with the awesome products from the Store. You will find direct links to these at the bottom of this post for you to be easy to find them.

The sentiment is a clear stamp which a friend of mine had sent me. I inked it with Staz On to get a stark clear image, and I coloured the flowers on the sentiment stamp using Copics. I also created quite some dimension throughout the layers, as you can see from this photo below.

Isn't just awesome how much teal and pink together, I personally think they do make a wonderful combination! Now onto the flowers...

I inked the whire foamiran with Peacock Feathers Distress inks using the Distress ink tools. Unfortunately I also inked almost all my fingers, and as the ink pad was still practically new (at least I had this thought!) the ink was quite strong and it took me two days to get it off my fingers!! I was really a sight for sore eyes, and next morning I had to receive Communion during mass directly onto my tongue, as I had to hide my hands all through the mass!!! :D

I tried a list of products to take it off, nothing seemed to work! Now I made a promise to myself to use gloves when I work with Distress ink!!!! :D lol

I also added white stamens to the larger flowers and styrofoam centres to the smaller. But as you can see I covered these with craft glue and silver glitter before using them, leaving them to dry overnight.

If you have never tried foamiran before, know that you are missing a lot of fun!! It surely takes some time to make multiple flowers, but I think it is VERY worth every minute. I am using the hour or so we spend together in the evening, watching TV or just chilling while I cut or ink my flowers, or do some colouring.

Here is the direct link to these marvellous products, which Shawn has. Also check out the entire Store and there are some new things like Chipboard etc !!! Yikes... which really need some love :)

I really wish you all the very best, you and your loved ones!!! Sending you all cyber hugs, may the love and peace of Jesus shower you all and keep you safe and loved! xxxxx

Many Blessings

Surprise Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!! Not not be missed!!

Hello awesome peeps!!!! Such a beautiful Christmas time and spirit around! I Looove this time of year :)

We decided to have a surprise Blog Hop over at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and there is a great prize involved: which is Pop Up Box #2, from Farm to Market. This box is full of various stamps, dies and laces. The theme is from Farm to Market from Magnolia Sweden.

What do you need to do to have a chance for this AWESOME giveaway??

You will need to go to each person on the DT (links provided here) to get details of their makes, and collect the 1 red letter on each blog as well as leave a comment. When you have finished looking at them all, Maya is the last stop, collect her 1 red letter and figure out what Christmas word we have scrambled and comment the answer on Maya's post.

So what is my project for this Blog Hop??

My project is a multi media shadow box which I created using Foamiran from the Store, and other embellishments.

Focusing on the Letter R (for Rosette, lol) I added some values/virtues which contain the letter "r", thus: respect, determination, courage, gratitude and creativity.

As you can see, I did a large Foamiran rose, using White Foamiran, to which I added Peeled Paint distress ink. I also created two rose buds with the same foamiran. This product is simply amazing. You can find the direct links to the products used on this post. The beautiful gold embellishments are Styrofoam stamens which Shawn has in Store. I covered them in liquid craft glue and added gold glitter all around. I REALLY love how they turned out.

One of the paper roses I added, this white one I covered with small white beads. I also added pieces of cheese cloth underneath the arrangement.

This is part of the shadow box top, with the same type of lace and pearl string which I used on the inside. The paper used is Basic Grey Cappella paper pad, I looove this lush paper.

I also added some music notes Washi tape on certain areas of my big letter R, and a hand made flower on its left. It IS striking :)

Here you can see better how I decorated the inside of the box :) I also have some stencilling on the background, but I almost hid it all with the letter and embellishments :)

I hope you love my Foamiran project, it will definitely make a wonderful gift this Christmas.
The products I used from Magnolia-licious Store are the following (click on the product to be taken directly to it:

Now remember that to be in for the win of the blog hop, you must leave a comment on each persons blog, and guess the correct word on Maya's post!

Ivy
Kerri
Karen
Rosette  (that's ME)! :D
Rene
Maya

besides, you can check back  on the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see who the winner is on Monday morning!

Now you can hop over to RENE's Blog, which as you can see from the list below, is next in line. But before you hop off, remember to collect my letter for you.....

The special letter I have for you to collect is the letter "e".

Good Luck to everyone and have fun!!

Merry Christmas,

Love from,

Soon...

Hello my dear friends!!

I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Christ-mas Season. I just love the lovely Christmas music, the preparations, the cooking, the fun and the meaningful decorations. It beings a wonderful feeling in the air! :)

Today I am sharing with you a card I did with one of the new Digital images at Mo's Digital Pencil stamps. It is called "Soon", and you can find it HERE, and when you purchase it you get both the image and the sentiment; which I love!

The cute little kid is  supposedly waiting for snow, but I gave it my own interpretation :) For me, he is looking at the bright stars, waiting for The Star - the Christmas star which shows that Jesus is born to save us :)

I got inspired by Vicky in this You Tube video, and worked on the textured sky using Acrylics, Acrylic Matte Medium and some Stencilling for the stars. Finally I added some gesso droplets for the snow effect.

I also added some twine, white organza ribbon and beige lace. Finally I embellished using coloured rhinestones and a gold button. I hope you like it, and that it inspired you to give this little cutie your interpretation.

Wishing you the very best!! I'll be back on Friday to share something else with you xxx Stay tuned!!

A little Snowie just for you...

Hi there!!

I hope you are doing well, and that you are getting prepared for Christmas, as it IS round the corner now! I am here to share with you another card, to celebrate a brand new fabulous challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog ! This month we had a wonderful number of entries, 50 of them wonderful creations!! Thank you for sharing with us your awesome talent!

Now enough words... here is my take for this month's challenge, a shaker card - my first of this sort. I had an amazing time creating it, although it was very time consuming  :) Nonetheless, I really loved doing it, especially the little reindeer scene - all created with Distress Inks (except the reindeer which is a die cut).

My Mr Snowie (from the So Jolly So Snowy 2009 Collection) was coloured with Distress inks and then I added a little amount of detail using watercolour pencils. On the other hand, the paper I used is from Dovecraft Winter Wonderland pack - quite an old pack, but I like many of its papers. I just love the shades of blue for Christmas, I seldom use the traditional Christmas colours anymore :D

I invite you to go and check the amazing Design Team makes for this one, and that you join in the fun, with a chance for a wonderful prize or a Guest DT spot.

Check out the details and the poinsettia and snowflake arrangement which I created. Lots and lots of glitter on this card. I can vouch that it is amazingly blingy :)

Remember that at MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS Store you can find lots of Magnolia stamps, dies and other stuff - also all that you need for foamiran flowers, lovely charms, lace and many more!! I can never get enough!!

Tilda in Spring Rain

Hello dear crafters!

I am back with to share with you a Magnolia card which reflects the rainy weather we had for the last couple of days here! Today the sun has come out again, but we had some serious dull and wet weather which I REALLY love!! :)

Here is Tilda in Spring Rain from the 2009 Chasing Butterflies Colection. I opted for soft Copic colouring this time, and kept it as clean as possible - for me it IS very clean! lol

Remember that at Magnolia-licious you can still find some cute stamps from the older collections, and if you are looking for something specific, do not hesitate to use the email provided, or the FB business page (found here) to contact Shawn - I am sure he will do anything to help you get your goodies!

For this card I used a cute Sugar Pea Sentiment, which I really love. I also used a couple of dies from the Doo Hickey Vol.10 set - I love dies, you can use them in very different ways. If you'd like some for yourself - you know... Christmas is coming... you can also check the Store - there are a lot of lovely things for whatever is anyone's tastes! The cute large butterfly was a gift from my dear friend Suzi (thank you sweet!) and I also added some lightly coloured dew drops, as if they are drops of water. There is a lot of dimension going on, you can see that in the next photo.

I wish I had some glossy accent to put on Tilda's raincoat, umbrella and boots, but the one I had from quite long ago (it was called Crystal Lacquer) has become too thick to control properly.

I hope you have a wonderful day, and that you have a lot of reason to smile and be happy! Advent is now around the corner and we'll soon be seeing a lot of Christmas goodies around!

Tilda is prepared for Christmas

She's a busy girl indeed! Yes, I'm talking about Tilda - this cutie is already prepared for giving this beautiful gift to her bestie - and she's ready to go and give it to her even if it has snowed! 😊

Alright - apart from the story I created from this card -  we at Magnolia-licious are presenting a brand new challenge for the month of November - This is challenge #15 - and this time we have an Anything Goes challenge with the option of Christmas.

Go and check the cute cards made by the wonderful Teamies, and check out the awesome Gift card ready for one of you if you join us again in the fun!

This time I went for some blues, browns and lots of shimmer for my card. I actually like how this turned out, with some snowy hills and couple of reindeers passing by! :)

Tilda is coloured with Distress inks, and I fussy cut her to add dimension to the scene, using near and far perspective.

As for embellishments I added some small ponsiettas and some other coordinating flowers with some pearls as centres. I also added some cheese cloth and a doily behind the scene, and a "let ti snow" sentiment on top of a chipboard tree - which is also dressed with gesso, and some glitter for a shimmery effect. Some lace on the card was a must, so I just went with it as I LOVE lace.

I hope you liked the card, and that you come and join us. Do let others know about the Challenge blog, and about the awesome products Shawn has in his Store for all of you to play with! There are some more awesome Foamiran Starter packs for those who would like to try foamiran in small batches at first. Check them out HERE

A Special Gift - A Foamiran project for Magnolia-licious

Hi! I hope you're having a wonderful start of the week, and that you have no Monday blues after the weekend :)

Here i am again to share with you a sweet and special gift, which incorporates also some Foamiran flowers. We had a new addition to our Community of Sisters some weeks ago, and as part of the Welcoming Gift, I decided to make this lovely set, based on blue shades when it comes to colour.

There is this lovely Bible verse hand made cushion (which I did not do myself, but another lady did it and was selling these cushions to raise money for charity), a pair of matching tea light candle holders, and this scented blue (Ocean smell) candle in a jar, which one can purchase from candle shops and Supermarkets etc.

I peeled off its cover and decorated it with some lovely crafty stuff. I really had fun doing it, and I think I will alter some more of these candle jars in the future.

On the cute blue ribbon with hearts I added these two charms - a cross and a sandal. The reason why I specifically chose these two is to signify the beginning of the journey which the person chose to start- the one that follows the Lord by becoming more and more like Him through the Vocation of Religious Life.

As you can notice, I also added a blue and a yellow foamiran flower, which seem to have become part of my projects at the moment.

For these gorgeous flowers I have used sky blue and yellow foamiran. Stamens used:

(1) white (001) and gold (034) for the blue flower.

(2) White (001) and light blue (021) stamens for the yellow ones.

Obviously all these products and much much more can be found at Magnolia-licious Store. And DO GO and check out, both the Store and our CHALLENGE BLOG, as there is a fantastic offer and giveaway right at this moment!

Cheers,
Rosette

A Fairy Nest to accompany you to a magical world

Hi there!

Here I am again to share with you another sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I just fell in love when Mo put this image on her website and Fb page. It is called Fairy Nest and I decided to play with it by creating a bookmark.

💜💜💜

I do think that books take you to a magical world where you become part of a story, visit new places in your imagination and befriend characters which invite you to their story, their circumstances. Therefore I really found it very fitting for this cutie to be used in a book mark.

💜💜💜

I coloured the image with Copics, and the main paper I used is from Bo Bunny's Provence Collection. I also added some clouds using my self-made template, and last, but not least, some Stardust Stickles on the Fairy wings and around the image.

💜💜💜

I just love how this turned out, and I finished with a computer generated sentiment on the back of the bookmark.

I really hope that have you have some time to play as well, and that you're having an awesome week! I already have some flu symptoms, it seems that Autumn is getting into some windy cold temperatures.

💜💜💜

Many blessings, and keep smiling always! And if you love reading, and may have neglected this hobby a bit, do pick up a new book for some motivation and let go into this magical world!

A gift for you I bring - Magnolia-licious DT

Happy Friday dear special people!!

I hope you had a wonderful week, and that you are ready for a smashing weekend. Mine was quite a busy week, and am looking forward for a quieter end of the week. Today it's my turn for an inspirational card at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, and I chose to feature not only an older Magnolia stamp, which is Tilda with Wedding Gifts, form 2010, but also some fabulous paper which Shawn has in Store, ready for grabs!

As you can see, most Magnolia stamps are very versatile and can be used for various occasions. In my case, Tilda is not bearing Wedding gifts, but Christmas ones :) Remeber that at Magnolia-licious you can find many, many of these stamps, and most of them with a smashing sale price that is unbelievable!

The papers are Lemon Craft's Christmas Carols papers, and you can find them HERE. There are many more awesome Christmas papers for you, like Maja Design's Home for the Holidays, and the I Wish Collection.

The postcard which you can see, is part of one one of Pion's Long Time Ago in Betlehem's papers. The panel behind the postcard, is created with another older Magnolia stamp, which is the Silent Night music notes. I stamped this on a piece of watercolour paper inked with Distress Colours.

I checked another Christmas card off the list, a happy girl I am! To be honest, I do not send these cards to everyone, as I prefer to use traditional Christmas cards, believing that the Birth of Jesus is the reason for the Season, therefore He needs to be the spotlight. But I either send these to other Crafters, or give them as gifts to be used for someone else.

This is a chipboard Christmas decoration, which I made more beautiful with Stardust Stickles and red bling. I also Distressed the edges with Walnut Stain for more effect.

I used a gold pen for one of the gifts and one of the ribbon, to add more shine. Unluckily this does not really sohw well on the photograph, but IRL it looks pretty :)

I hope you liked this card, and that you check out the STORE for more toys to play! Shawn keeps adding things for our crafty craziness, and we just love them!

Sending a warm smile and some positive vibes across to you who spent some time with me here. Let me know you think about it, and if you ever tried some of these products yourself! Happy Weekend!

Peggy - Mo's DT

Hi again dear awesome crafty friends!!!

I am back with another card, this time showcasing one of Maurie Manning's awesome digi stamps. This cute girl's name is Peggy, and she can be found HERE.

It was a delight to colour her, and had lots of fun creating dimension and a background. I have coloured her with Copics, and matched her with a paper which has a lot of small hearts. It inspired me to use this one because of the heart which Peggy has on her top.

I also added some fun embellishments, including this wooden butterfly, on which I stuck some rhinestones. Added to that, some film strip ribbon, paper and foamiran flowers and some Stickles made sure that the card is girly enough! :)

I hope that you get to visit Mo's Store and check out the fun stamps you can find there! I am always amazed at what she can do with some digital stuff!! Now I'm off to rest, it's night here :) And a thunderstorm is fast approaching! Wohooo!!!

Many blessings dears, and please let me know what you think of this card. have an awesome day/night!
