Ahoy!!! Magnolia-licious DT

Happy Friday dear friends!

I am back again today with a Midway and Inspirational post for Magnolia-licious Store and Challenge Blog. It was my turn today to showcase another inspirational project, and because Shawn has some brand new awesome Magnolia Collections waiting for you to pick up, and one of them is a Nautical Collection, I decided to make a nautical themed card to share with you.

I just love everything with a nautical theme. In fact slowly, veeerryy slowly, I am organising some different decorations, some of which are cross-stitched, for a nautical themed bathroom at our Home. I love sea shells, sailor things etc. I had a blast doing this specific card, making my own sailing vessel for our Tilda.

I used one of the older stamps for my project, but you can check some cool 2017 Magnolia nautical stamps here at the Magnolia Stamp Store.

Aren't those Maja papers cool? I love this collection, which I won from one of the challenges. Thank you Maja for such lovely cute papers. And have you seen Pion's Legends of the Sea collection?! ... these too are super yummy!

I distressed all edges of the boat and the background papers with the scissors. I embellished my card with cheese cloth, sea shell, stars, square rhinestones and some other sea related objects. The most time consuming work was doing the boat, but it was worth it.

Tilda was coloured with Distress re-inkers, and then I fussy cut her together with the rope ladder, with which she is climbing to fix something on the boat :)

A closer look at the chain with which the anchor is being held, and the lovely Maja papers. I just love these cuties!

I hope you like this project, and that you'll join us for our Magnolia-licious Challenge, which you can find HERE. Do bot forget that by participating, you are not only in chance to win a $20 Magnolia-licious gift certificate, but you can also be chosen to be a Guest Designer :)

Baby with giraffe - Mo's DT

Hello my dear friends! I have another card to share with you today, and this time it is another baby card made with one of Mo's cute digital stamps.

I just loooove these cuties and they are so natural to colour, and bring a lot of sweet memories too.

I used Copics to colour this babe. Do you agree that this baby looks so natural and cute? We have lots of kids which are at that age in our care, and it's a blessing to watch them make progress and learn new skills!

This is Baby with Giraffe image, and you can instantly purchase it in Mo's Store by clicking here

I created the sentiment by using some dies form Magnolia Doo Hickey Vol 10, I distressed the images with Walnut Stain Distress ink and added some letters and a "boy" button. I liked how it turned out, and these dies are wonderful for those boy/men cards where you need something cute but not girly :)

Thank you for stopping by to see my new creation. At least between hospital visits and other priorities, I unwind a bit form all the emotions and the draining experience by creating a new card.

Challenges I'll be entering with this card are:

Stampavie and More  #287 - Man or boy

Deep Ocean Challenge #155 - Furry/Feathered Friends

Sparkles Monthly Challenge #92 - Four or more legs

Sweet Stampers #7 - Dots or Stripes

Big hugs and blessings xxx

Mothers are very special people - Paradise of Magnolia Guest DT

Blessings to you dear friends!!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend, and that you had some time to recharge your strength for this new week!

Today I have another card to share with you. Some weeks ago I was invited to be a Guest Designer for this week by Paradise of Magnolia Challenge Blog. The theme I was invited to create a project for was "Flowers", and I thought it will be perfect for Mother's Day week. My mum adores plants and flowers, and gets very emotional when she receives a card that has flowers on it.

To make it more perfect, I was awarded some wonderful Sofiero Maja papers, and everything fit in perfectly. So this card yesterday made the trip to hospital to be given to mum on this special day :)

As you can see, it has loads of flowers on it, from the stunning papers (oh how hard it was to cut them!!!) to the image and all the paper flowers surrounding the card. There are also flowers on the paper doily which I put under the design paper.

The image was coloured on Langton watercolour paper, using Distress reinkers. I did it in a bit of a hurry, as daily hospital visits take a lot of time and energy, but I thank God for everyday and for the energy he gives me,

This cute stamp is from Magnolia's Springtime 2017 Collection, and is called Sitting Spring Tilda. It can be found at Magnolia-licious, specifically here

This is a close up of the lovely sentiments that Maja papers have on the edge of the papers, it's awesome that nothing is wasted and can be put to use. I just loooove these papers, did you notice? :)

The twigs die cuts are from DooHickey vol 10. They made cute additions to the bunch, I liked the effect.

More detailed photos: vintage button on pink organza ribbon, and more flowers on my card. Lace and more goodies were added for that special feel. (Thank you Suzi for that cute pearl trim!).

Thank you for joining me this morning to read about this card. I wish you all wonderful and happy things, and when things go rough, do not lose hope. Crafting is a very good way to de-stress, and do not be afraid to ask for help. Sending you lots of hugs, and do share love with those around you!!

Do pop over to Paradise of Magnolia blog to see what the DT created to inspire you, and I hope you'll be able to join us for this wonderful challenge. I am sure that many of the Maggie lovers use tons of flowers on your makes, so it's very easy to join in the fun. Good luck for winning, maybe you will be the next Guest Designer on the blog.

Challenges I'm entering with this card:

Midweek Magnolias - Anything goes with a Magnolia challenge

Noor Design - May Challenge - add lace

Marvellous Magnolia  - # 121 Shabby chic

All about Magnolia  - #23 - all about Mother's Day or a special lady

God bless you all!

Wishing you... Magnolia-licious DT

Hi sweet blogging friends from around the globe. I hope you are having a brilliant week. Today I would like to share with you a card I did for our new Magnolia-licious challenge.

The Challenge we have for you this time is a very easy one: an "Anything goes with an option of Summer". It is such a fitting challenge for this time of the year. I loved the theme. Moreover some good news is that now we are having monthly challenges, to give you more opportunity to work on your projects, with the chance of not only winning a $20 gift certificate to the STORE, but also to be a guest designer for Magnolia-licious.

I got inspired by the Magnolia  Doo Hickey vol.10 set of dies, and did the ice-cream car as the focus point of my card. I really had a good time cutting it from different but coordinating pieces of papers, giving it also some dimension by adding a pop up upper part, and also popping up the wheel a bit, but cutting several times the wheel part and gluing them on top of each other.

The bottles with the labels and caps are also fun to play with :) I felt like a little kid again!! I could not leave the card without a Magnolia stamped image, so while not having yet a Tilda with ice-cream, I used sitting Tilda, from this year's Spring Collection. Her ice-cream is still to be prepared, so she is patiently waiting for it to arrive :)

As usual, I cannot let any card be without my sweet embellishments, so I added lace, and a lace flower with a self-adhesive pearl on top, die cuts from the same Doo Hickey volume (which you can find at the Store) and from other sets, a round doily, and a sentiment from Paulette.

The main paper I used on the card is Maja Design, something which was sent to me years ago by a friend of mine.

I just love that sentiment, and I stamped it directly onto a piece of designer paper which I had in my folder. All the pieces are distressed with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

I am now off to hospital. This is the fourth week that mum is in Hospital, and from there she might be transferred to a Home for the elderly as now as the situation has turned out to be, she is not able to live anymore by herself. She admitted that she is feeling unsafe when she thinks of home, as she cannot even stand alone on her feet for more than a couple of seconds. We are all very close to her, visiting everyday and spending time with her, but due to the need of medical assistance and oxygen all the time, it is better that she is under constant care. Thank God she is remaining calm and focused. Thank you for all the support and messages I received regarding this difficult situation. God bless you all good people!

A close up of the card, so easy and fun to make!!  Isn't it cute? :)
