Altered Cardboard Gift Box - Magnolia-licious DT

Hi everyone!

Rosette here, back with another creation, which I had to publish last Tuesday!! What a week!!!

This time I altered a cardboard box into a beautiful gift box. I really love the outcome!! I hope you enjoy it and get inspired as well! The mail red (and hint of black) flower is a handmade foamiran flower. This foamiran is really addictive, and I find myself trying to create new flowers using different colours and combinations.

I used some papers from my stash for this one. I chose some light coloured with classic faded designs... a little vintage-y detail does no harm :)

I also decorated the sides and the inside of the gift box to match.

I really enjoyed working on this box... hopefully it won't be my last. I also added some lace, some bling, a ticket and a bouquet of flowers.

The leaf is also made of green foamiran. I REALLY hope that you try this awesome material for yourself. Magnolia- licious is offering some starter kits, and is always increasing the range of different colours, stamens, styrofoam centres, etc. Go and check it out for yourself HERE!

Finally a close up of the foamiran flower. As you can see, I used red foamiran, and subtly added some black oil pastel at the tip for some contrast. I added white and black stamens for a striking effect. I like how it gives that special feel in the bouquet of flowers! Do try some yourself! I cut out these flowers out of two different sized punches which I had.

Wishing you an awesome weekend! Many blessings and hope to hear from you!

Life is like a balloon

Hi dearest crafting buddies!

It's been a while since I found the time to post something here. I am having some very busy weeks right now. But today let me share with you a card I did for Mo's challenge of the month - the good news is that you are still in time to join us in Mo's challenge on Facebook.

This month Lou challenged to use this cool image called "Life is like a balloon", one of the many wonderful images you can find at Mo's Store.

I played with this image and had some fun with making a hand cut cloud template. I created the clouds by using Stormy Sky distress ink. I like the outcome! :)
I hope you like it, and that you join us in the fun. The challenge closes on October 2nd. We look forward for some fresh ideas to learn from each other.

I will be back very soon with other projects to share. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week. Finally autumn is kicking in here, and I' very happy that finally the scorching  heat is over.

Peace!

Wishing you a very merry angel visit! Magnolia-licious DT

Hi there! Rosette here wishing you a very blessed and happy week!

I have scheduled this post as currently I am on a 5 day retreat in Rabat - a high and very quiet area here in Malta. It is my turn to provide an inspirational card for Magnolia-licious Store today, and I chose to put in another Christmas card which we all try to prepare beforehand.

💓💓💓

I am very curious to see what Magnolia surprises we will have for the coming Christmas Season, so till then I decided to use this sweet 2009  Tilda as Christmas Angel from the "So Jolly Under The Mistletoe" Collection; coupled with the awesome Long Time ago in Bethlehem Pion Paper (the middle rectangular piece is from my scraps folder - it is Basic Grey Wassail paper)

💓💓💓

The main paper is hand cut and distressed with Walnut Stain ink. Tilda is also colored with Disrtess inks, and then I embellished with gold ribbon, lace bell, Christmas postage stamp, paper flowers and some rhinestones. Stickles were used on Tilda's wings and her hair band. I sprayed the white poinsettia flower with Pearl Glimmer mist, for some subtle shine. Unfortunately I did not manage to capture this detail in the photo, but it makes a lovely accent in real life.

💓💓💓

Keep your eye on Magnolia-licious Store for more Magnolia goodies and lots of other fun stuff for your Christmas (and other occasions) crafts. You can already pre-order your Halloween Calendar here, and the awaited Christmas Calendar Box here

The Square die which I used behind Tilda can also be found at the Store. It is #4 Vintage Doohickey Die 17 - Small Square, and you can click on this LINK to buy yours now.

💓💓💓

I also finished the inside of my card with some more Christmas papers and a sentiment cut from the same Long ago in Bethlehem papers. I LOVE this set, than god that I had won it in their awesome giveaways!! :) Lucky girl
If you'd like to try some Pion paper, you can go to the Store here. These particular papers were not yet brought by Shawn, but you can find lots of yummy papers around there!

Have a wonderful and awesome crafty day; especially if you have a rainy or winter-y weather... oh finally we have had some rain last weekend, after about three months of total dryness!!!

Hi Happy Tuesday happy people!!

I hope your week has started off well, and for those who had weather trouble these last weeks are receiving the necessary care and help they need. I am here to share with you another project.

This is the first Tuesday of the month, therefore this means that we have a new Challenge for you at Magnolia-licious.

Moreover, this is the day where the new full Design Team is officially starting with the first challenge, so do hop over to the CHALLENGE BLOG, not only to learn the details for this challenge, and what you can win, but also to see the wonderful creations done by each member, and leave them some love!

 💛💛💛

This time I opted for something different from a card, so I did a thank you gift bag, using one of the cutest stamp from the latest Magnolia Collection Country Girl.

As you might observe in the picture above, there are a couple of chocolates, ready to go in that bag, for someone special.
This time I coloured Tilda using watercolour pencils, and added a couple of touches to her hair using Distress ink markers. Later on, I added some shine to the image using Diamond Stickles, especially on her boots, shorts and in the centre of the flowers.

I used quite a couple of products which you can find at Magnolia-licious Store, and I'll be making sure to provide you with a direct link to each product.

Lace: Lace Mathilde (does not show a lot, but you can see part of it behind the upper part of the main aqua coloured tag
Doo Hickey Dies  - I used the heart shaped dies from My Doo Hickey Vol. 10
Foamiran - White and Yellow Foamiran , cut out with AC 3 Rosy Owl Dies

Furthermore I used ribbon, other paper flowers, lace, postage stamps, tag dies, ticket, butterfly punch, marker for faux stitches, pearls and some rhinestones from my stash.

A closer look at the Foamiran  flowers and some of the other paper flowers I added to them.

Let the Sunshine in!

Hi lovely crafters!

I hope you had, or are having a wonderful Sunday! Mine was a lovely one, with a quiet evening by the seaside with my lovely sisters from the community. We chilled, prayed and ate there, and on our way back stopped for an ice-cream or capuccino! yummy, a wonderful way to end the week.

I wanted to share with you a card I made fro Magnolia-licious, which I did not have time to post during the week.

💜💜💜

I did it masking two seperate Magnolia stamps which can be found among many more at the Store: I used  Porch Tilda and Grandpa's Porch - both from the Country Girl Collection.

I coloured the images using Distress inks and layered them on Maja's Denim & Friends Collection, which you can also find at Magnolia- licious. I will provide all the necessary links to each product used from the Store below.

The cute sentiment used is from Paulette at  Create with TLC - I love how it fitted in the gorgeous scene. Flowers are also made by myself using Foamiran.

💜💜💜

They were the first flowers I did with this awesome product. Thank you to Magnolia-licious' owner Shawn for giving me the opportunity to try this gorgeous material. I really want to learn more - it is amazingly wonderful. The Store carries lots of awesome colours of foamiran, together with different dies, stamens and centres for you to play with. What are you waiting to try it for yourself?

For these I used white foamiran for the larger flowers (colouring the centre and some of the edges with oil pastel, and for the small buds I used lilac foamiran, The gorgeous white stamens give the flowers a pearly look, and I love the way they look in real life.

Thank you for being here, and for sharing my passion for creativity. I wish each one of you a wonderful week ahead, and let us use our God-given talent to make other people happy :) It is always a wonderful feeling to see that brilliant smile on someone's face when you give them a hand-crafted card/gift!
