Tilda with Dotted Boots - Magnolia-licious DT

A special hello to my dear friends who come to visit and share what I created! I hope each one of you is having a wonderful week. Here in Malta the hot weather is increasing, even though we had some light rain in some places last night.

Today starts a brand new challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, and we're hoping that you join us in the fun. For this month we have a fun challenge - it is an Anything goes (using Magnolia or other stamps found at the Store) with an option of masking

I used Tilda with Dotted Boots from this year's Spring Collection, and with it an older Magnolia background. I just loved how it turned out! :)

I coloured these images using Copic markers this time, and I had fun playing with various dies to achieve this card.

I would not want to to miss a lot of goodies which can be found at the Magnolia-licious Store. To make it easier for you to find, I have linked them for you here. These are:

The paper I used on the background of the card - it is Pion paper
A rose charm, which you can find here with other lovely charms to your liking
The rusty tin star - which looks gorgeous with the card
The gorgeous Mirabelle lace
Doo Hickey Box Kit Vol 10 - this time I used the heart dies on the left of the card
Shabby Bark Heart - looks lovely in real life in front of the die cut heart shapes

And these are some detailed photos for you to see the multiple layers I created and the whole set up. I also added a couple of tags, which I created from some scraps of paper left from other projects, and on which I stamped a part of a Stempelglede grunge flower and Tim Holtz butterfly. I love the effect. I also Ditressed many of the layers with Weathered Wood distress ink.

The back of my tags, with some cute sentiments - also edged with Weathered Wood Distress ink.

Dies used on this card: Go Kreate, Spellbinders (flowers), Magnolia, Nellies' frames.

This is the inside of the card, simple but I think it's effective.

I hope you like it. Thank you for those of you who take the time to leave a comment. It really makes me happy to hear from you! :) Come and join the fun, and you will be not only in a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to spend at the Store, but to become our next Guest Designer :)

Pop over and see the gorgeous makes my friends the other DT members have prepared for you. Big hugs, and I wish each you a lot of good and positive things.

King for the Day - Mo's DT

Happy weekend to each one of you! I hope you are doing well.

Today I have a male Birthday card to share with you, using a sweet image from Mo's store. The name of this digital stamp is King for the Day. Male cards are always more challenging to me, as I looove embellishing my cards, and I am so limited when it comes to creations meant for men.

But these sweet and versatile images it becomes much more easier :) Thanks Mo!!

I used Copics for my colouring, and some papers which have long been in my stash, which I had left aside on purpose to be at hand when I needed a male card. This one was made for one of the sisters' dad, as he soon has his Birthday.

Isn't he cute with a beer in his hand, and the Television remote in the other? :)

I added some faux wooden letters to the sentiment, which sentiment I arranges around the image using Word.  Then some scraps of the same papers and some Washi tape, a King's crown charm and some gold coloured brads.

I hope this card inspires you, and that you find this image handy, together with so many more, for your male projects. If so look no further - and pop over to Mo's Store.

Sending you gigantic hugs to your part of the world, thanking you for prayers and well wishes during this rough period. Thank you to my awesome Community who walks with me this journey everyday, and a huge thank you to the Design Teams I am part of who understand perfectly my current situation, and have patience with me when I do not finish my projects on time. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart; I am such a lucky girl!!

Rose Card

Good evening everyone (it's that time of the day where I am, in my little part of the world, anyway!!)

One of the Sisters asked me to do a card for her mama's Birthday, and I decided to get a little bit out of my comfort zone, doing something without a cute image, but playing with a rose stamp instead.

I had these Papermania papers for quite some years, but I really love the soft tones they have, and I decided to play with some roses theme. This is the result of my mojo for today (sorry for the not-perfect photos, the weather did not want to cooperate at all!

I stamped part of the rose stamp directly on soft pink paper, and colored the rose with Copics. After that I used some light pink Stickles to enhance the colour and give it some special shine.

As you can see I added some pearl string around the image and then another larger circle with the same paper, finishing with a doily. Behind the doily I also added another layer of card, using a smaller circle, so that I could pop it up on some foam pads.

This is the final effect of the main image. Thank you to my friend Ally who sent me these beautiful edged dies together with other beautiful goodies and a very beautiful Gorjuss card ( I will add a photo). I am really happy with them :)

Other embellishments I used with this card is a bouquet of flowers, some of them Magnolia flowers, others coming from my stash, some pieces of gauze (substitute of cheesecloth, as it is non-traceable here!), self-adhesive pink rhinestones, a heart made of pearls, and a ticket used as a sentiment.

I finished also the inside with a greeting quote that mentions also the rose, I was happy that I came across it. I edited it on Word, and printed it. Voila'!!! This is the result, I hope you like how it turned out :)

I stamped the same rose on the plain circle, using Spun Sugar Distress ink, and I left it like that for the Sister to write her own personalised message.

Finally another angled shot. I leave you with this. Thanks a lot for the wonderful comments you leave here and on my Cards Facebook page, they brighten my day, and adds you to the list for who I pray everyday xxx
